Ladyfingers also called 'Savoiardi' in Italian or 'boudoirs'
in French, is a biscuit made from the batter sponge cake shaped like a small
length of the finger. These biscuits are commonly used to make tiramisu. These
biscuits have a crispy and delicious taste with aroma and distinctive taste of
coffee made with a combination of tiramisu never missed.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- a little flour
- 170 grams of egg whites
- 50 grams of sugar
- 5 egg yolks
- 70 grams of white sugar
- Slightly citric acid
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee
- ½ tsp ground coffee
- 40 grams flour
- 45 grams cornstarch
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- Prepare a baking sheet box size 40 x 40 cm, basting with melted butter, sprinkled lightly with flour, set aside.
- Pour the egg whites in a bowl, add the citric acid and beat with a mixer until it begins to foam, then pour sugar (50 grams) slowly while continuing whipped until stiff. Combine cornstarch together the egg whites by hand, do not use a mixer, set aside.
- Pour the egg yolks in a bowl, add the sugar, vanilla essence, instant coffee and ground coffee. Whisk with a mixer until thick and fluffy, set aside.
- Sift flour with baking powder, then in turn, combine flour, egg whites, make sure the final mixed egg whites.
- Insert the spray plastic with rounded edges and a diameter of 1-1 ½ cm spray on a baking sheet along approximately 8 cm. Sprinkle it with sugar and instant coffee (coffee sprinkle with sieve in order to obtain a fine powder).
- Bake in oven for 30 minutes until done. Turn off the oven and let stand in oven to cool and become crisp ladyfingers.
- Separate ladyfingers attached with a spatula and store in an airtight jar to keep them crisp.
- As a suggestion the other presentation, whipped 200 ml cream with 1 tablespoon instant coffee until stiff and spray at the bottom of ladyfingers, attach one other fruit and serve as long mini cake aroma of coffee.
